Powder
The chair swings around which picks me up and takes me to the top. Wipping the fog off of my googles before I put them on. Ride off the chair and strap in the last boot. "Lets do it," I pronounce. With every carve I make my mark on the mountain. The snow so deep like a black hole. Sprayed in the face, can feel the chill throughout my body. Stop at the bottom of the run, nothing better than a powder day.
Marfan Syndrome is a connective tissue disorder that effects many parts of the body. People with Marfans are typically tall, with long limbs and long thin fingers. The heart is the largest problem, the aorta in your heart is larger and weaker and there is a chance that is could tear. A aortic dissection is a very serious procedure and is not likely you will live. It also can affect the eyes and it causes very tall and lanky skeletal system. Marfans causes chest deformity and may cause lung problems. Marfans is a syndrome that effects much of the body, but is a problem that you can live with you just have to take care of it.
Twelve years old going to an ordinary sports physical. Thought i was going to just go in and out no problems. The doctor told me that I should go to another doctor and get checked out. I went and I was diagnosed with Marfans syndrome. I was shoked he told me that I am probably not going to be able to play sports any more. This kind of news destroyed me. I played all the sports, it was in the family we just all played sports. I was a little kid who thought everything bad was happining to me. I was lost, all i wanted is for it to be not true. I realised that I am still alive so live life every day as it comes and be happy with what ever it is.
I was born with marfan syndrome and I love it. Marfan syndrome is diffcult to live with. I take medication twice a day and I am noy supposed to let my heart rate go above 110 bpm. I cant do anything that could causes a contact with my chest. I do break the rules some to do things that I love like snowboarding. But I have to enjoy life some, but i just have to take care of myself. Marfan syndrome has a large impact on my life and is something not very many people know about.

I believe that you are supposed to enjoy life to the fullest. The beginning of your life started at home. Where you where born and raised, your home. I was raised in Boise, Idaho the capital of Boise, it is a desert. It really does not look like a desert, it is a valley full of trees. It is a very beautiful place and a great place to raise a family. I believe that you learned the most about life when you where young and at you home. The thing that I love about Boise is there is so much to do in a very close range. In the winter you can go snowboarding, snowmobiling, fishing, sledding, and drinking hot chocolate in thirty minutes. In the summer you can go swimming, fishing, hiking, camping, and biking in just thirty minutes. There is many things to do in little time. Boise has a lot to offer and is a great place to grow up.
Outdoor activities are a great way enjoy life. Snowboarding is the best way for me to get that big grin on my face. I love every think about it. It all starts with snow, it covers the land in layers like pillows. The cold air that is tough to breathe. The layers of cloths that you have to wear. The sound of the snow when you carve through it. The best part is the places you can go to ride down the mountain. they are the same, but so completely different at the same time. Snowboarding is only one thing you can do to enjoy life.
Life is meant to be enjoyed, do everything that you can do to make it the best life you can live. You may have to make many compromises, but if you give, you will receive. Life is to short to be mad, so do things that you enjoy and if you do not enjoy it make the best of it.
